Google Announces Plans to Revolutionize Search with AI

Doha: Google has announced plans to make its popular search engine smarter by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technologies from its subsidiary DeepMind into the search engine, making it more like a smart personal assistant capable of browsing the internet, analyzing pages, and providing accurate answers, instead of just displaying 10 blue links as usual.

According to Qatar News Agency, Google CEO Sundar Pichai emphasized that as AI continues to broaden the scope of user queries, 2025 is projected to be a pivotal year for search innovation. He highlighted Project Astra, a multimedia AI system from DeepMind, as a potential key player in these upcoming changes.

The project is noted for its capability to analyze videos and live images, answering related questions in real-time. This advancement could lead to its application in devices such as future smart glasses developed by Google.

In addition to Project Astra, Google plans to introduce Gemini Deep Research, which can produce comprehensive research reports swiftly. This feature could transform the way Google search is utilized by automating intricate searches that typically demand user time and effort.

Pichai also introduced Project Mariner, an AI system designed to autonomously browse the web and execute tasks, thereby minimizing the necessity for users to manually navigate between different sites to obtain information.
