Doha: The Qatari U-17 national team lost to Saudi Arabia 1-2 in the semi-final match held Tuesday at Grand Hamad Stadium in the Gulf U-17 Football Cup. The Qatari team initially took the lead when Adam Freikh scored in the 29th minute.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Saudi team turned the game around in the final moments. Mohammed Moayed equalized in the 82nd minute, followed by Abdulrahman Sufyani’s decisive goal in the 85th minute, securing Saudi Arabia’s place in the final.
The Saudi team is set to face the UAE in the final scheduled for October 3.
