Doha: Prospective pilgrims planning to perform Hajj in 1448 AH (2026-2027) can now obtain their Medical Fitness Certificates at any Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) Health Center.
According to Qatar News Agency, PHCC has announced that this initiative is aligned with the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs' conditions and regulations, as well as the State of Qatar's approved health protocols. The service aims to ensure that pilgrims are in good health before embarking on their journey, thereby allowing them to perform Hajj rituals safely.
PHCC clarified that the Medical Fitness Certificate can be applied for at all PHCC Family Medicine Centers throughout the week without the necessity of a prior appointment. The service is free for both Qatari citizens and residents; however, residents with expired Residency Permits or health cards will incur a nominal fee.
The certificates will be available in both paper and electronic formats. This initiative is part of PHCC's broader strategy to provide comprehensive healthcare services and to facilitate easy access to necessary medical care, aiding in the health preparations for the Hajj season.
PHCC also stressed the importance of completing the required medical procedures in a timely manner to ensure readiness for Hajj.
