HH Shaikh Khalid receives FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Riders and Juniors winners

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, received the Royal Endurance Team riders, the winners of the FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Riders and Juniors, held in Castelsagrat, with the participation of 70 jockeys from various countries.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, and Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, GSA’s Chief Executive Officer, were present.

HH Shaikh Khalid welcomed the world champions, attributing the global endurance achievement to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.

HH Shaikh Khalid praised the distinguished performance of the Bahraini champions, which entitled them to claim the title well-deservedly, confirming the high status of the Bahraini endurance sport, which enjoys the constant support of HH Shaikh Nasser.

He indicated that HH Shaikh Nasser is a role model to be emulated by all jockeys thanks to his landmark achievements and successes, the most recent of which was His Highness’ success in winning the 160-km race of Monpazier endurance race.
