Kinshasa: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani departed from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) after completing a state visit. His Highness is now en route to the Republic of South Africa, where he will participate in the 2025 G20 Summit in Johannesburg.
According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Amir was bid farewell at N'djili International Airport by HE President of the DRC, Felix Tshisekedi. The departure ceremony was attended by key figures including HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Communications and Roads, Jean-Pierre Bemba; HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Francophonie and the Congolese Diaspora, Therese Kayikwamba Wagner; and HE Governor of Kinshasa, Daniel Bumba Lubaki.
Additionally, HE Chief of the Presidential Palace, Anthony Kinzo; HE Commander of the 14th Military Region, Major General Dr. Stazen Kizimou Mboyo; and HE Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo to the State of Qatar, Valerie Lusamba Kabya, were present. A lineup of Their Excellencies, senior officials from the Congolese government, and members of the Qatari Embassy also attended the send-off.
HH the Amir is accompanied by an official delegation for the visit to South Africa.
