HH the Amir Cup 2026: QFA Announces Round of 16 Fixtures

Doha: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) has announced the schedule for the Round of 16 matches of the 54th edition of HH the Amir Cup 2026, following the draw for this stage earlier Tuesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Round of 16 matches will feature 16 teams, with two matches scheduled per day across four venues: Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium, Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium, Hamad Al Kabir Stadium, and Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium. These matches are set to take place from February 12 to February 15.

Prior to the draw, the participating teams were divided into two levels. The first level comprised teams that finished in the top eight positions in the previous edition of the Qatar Stars League (2024-2025), while the second level included teams that finished in the bottom nine positions, along with four teams that qualified from the preliminary round.

The action kicks off on February 12 with Al Duhail set to clash with Al Waab at Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium, while Al Wakrah will face Al Sailiya at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium.

On February 13, Al Shamal will meet Qatar SC at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium, and Al Shahaniya will play against Al Arabi at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium.

The competition continues on February 14, starting with defending champions Al Gharafa taking on Al Kharaitiyat at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium, followed by a match between Al Rayyan and Al Khor at Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium.

The round wraps up on February 15 with Al Sadd facing Al Markhiya at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium, and the final match of the round featuring Al Ahli against Umm Salal at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium.

Al Gharafa clinched the title in the previous edition of the tournament, triumphing over Al Rayyan with a 2-1 victory in the final. Over the past 53 editions of the tournament, eight teams have claimed the title, with Al Sadd being the most successful with 19 titles, followed by Al Arabi with 9. Al Gharafa has won 8 times, while Al Rayyan holds 6 titles. Al Ahli and Al Duhail have each won the title 4 times, Qatar SC twice, and Umm Salal once.
