HH the Amir Engages in Crucial Phone Call with Dutch Prime Minister Amid Regional Tensions

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Rob Jetten. The conversation centered around the recent Iranian aggression and its implications for regional security.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Dutch Prime Minister expressed solidarity with Qatar, condemning the military actions that jeopardize the sovereignty of states and destabilize the region. He acknowledged Qatar's diplomatic efforts in promoting peace and dialogue, emphasizing the nation's role in supporting de-escalation and securing international stability.

HE the Dutch Prime Minister also conveyed gratitude to HH the Amir for the care extended to the Dutch community in Qatar under the current circumstances. Meanwhile, HH the Amir expressed appreciation for the Netherlands' support, reiterating Qatar's commitment to the safety of all communities residing within its borders, including the Dutch.

Both leaders agreed on the need for immediate measures to de-escalate the situation and halt military activities. They emphasized the importance of a political resolution achieved through diplomacy, in alignment with international law and the United Nations Charter.
