HH the Amir Engages in Diplomatic Talks at Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit


Sharm el sheikh: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met with several leaders and heads of government during the Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit held at the International Convention Center in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The meetings, which took place on Monday, involved discussions with key figures from friendly and allied nations.



According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Amir conducted separate meetings with HM King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, HE President Emmanuel Macron of France, HE Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan, HE Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom, HE Prime Minister Mark Carney of Canada, HE Chancellor Friedrich Merz of Germany, and HH Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates.



The discussions primarily centered around the pressing issues on the summit’s agenda, focusing on achieving a resolution to the conflict in Gaza, facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region, and bolstering peace and security efforts. Additionally, the leaders explored avenues for enhancing cooperation and strengthening international relations across various sectors.



The meetings were also attended by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, along with other members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir.
