HH the Amir Engages with Global Leaders at World Summit for Social Development


Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met on Tuesday with several Heads of State on the sidelines of the Second World Summit for Social Development at the Qatar National Convention Centre. His Highness engaged in separate meetings with HE President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, HE President of the Democratic Republic of Congo Felix Tshisekedi, HE President of the Republic of Rwanda Paul Kagame, HE President of the Republic of Kenya Dr. William Ruto, HE President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and HE President of the Republic of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic.



According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on key topics from the summit’s agenda, particularly those concerning poverty eradication, promoting social development, and economic transformation. The meetings also explored ways to enhance bilateral relations between Qatar and the respective countries in various fields of cooperation. Additionally, they discussed several regional and international issues of common interest.



The meetings saw the attendance of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, along with other high-ranking officials.
