Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has expressed his condolences to HE President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Luong Cuong, following the passing of former president Tran Duc Luong. In a heartfelt cable, HH the Amir conveyed his sympathies to the Vietnamese leader during this time of loss.
According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani also extended his condolences to President Luong Cuong. Additionally, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani sent a separate cable of condolences to HE Prime Minister of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh. The messages reflect the strong diplomatic ties and solidarity between Qatar and Vietnam.
