Hot Weather, Strong Wind and High Seas Expected Today

Doha: Weather inshore until 6:00 pm on Sunday will be relatively hot to hot during the daytime with some clouds and slight dust, transitioning to mild conditions by night, the Department of Meteorology stated in its daily weather report. The department has issued a warning for strong winds expected in some areas during the daytime.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will also feature some clouds, with warnings in place for strong winds and high seas particularly in the northern areas. Inshore winds are predicted to be mainly northwesterly to northeasterly, blowing at speeds of 08 - 20 KT, with gusts reaching up to 26 KT in certain locations during the day.

Offshore, the wind is expected to be northwesterly to northeasterly, with speeds ranging from 07 - 17 KT, and gusts up to 23 KT in northern areas. The sea state inshore is anticipated to be between 1 - 3 feet, rising to 5 feet in the northern areas, while offshore conditions will see waves of 2 - 4 feet, increasing to 7 feet in the northern regions.

Visibility inshore is forecasted to range between 4 - 9 kilometers, whereas offshore visibility will be slightly better, ranging from 5 - 10 kilometers.
