HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Bahrain

Manama, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, at Riffa Palace.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the depth of Bahrain-UAE longstanding relations, noting Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, in line with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

HE Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan delivered a written letter from the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which included an official invitation to attend the 28th United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which will be hosted by the UAE in Expo City, Dubai.

HE Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan also extended the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to His Royal Highness, and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister conveyed his own greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

His Royal Highness highlighted the UAE’s efforts in hosting COP28, the UN’s 28th annual meeting on climate change, noting the UAE’s ongoing efforts to address climate change and achieve environmental security.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to supporting international endeavours to achieve climate goals and a sustainable future.

For his part, HE Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan thanked HRH for his support of the Bahrain-UAE robust partnership, which benefits both countries and their peoples.

The Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
