Arar, Governor of Northern Borders Region Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz and President of the Saudi Human Rights Commission (HRC) Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri witnessed today here the signing of a coordination agreement between HRC's branch in the region and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development's branch.
The agreement stipulates cooperation and follow up in resolving issues and complaints received by both parties in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations. It entails spreading the culture of human rights among members of society and raising awareness about the family's role and the rights of children, women, the elderly, and people with disabilities, through seminars, lectures, and training programs, as well as cooperation between the two parties in activating international events and days.
Prince Faisal commended the agreement, stressing the Kingdom's support and interest in human rights issues under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The governor urged both parties to the agreement to adhere to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals, which must constitute a point of reference for all plans and activities in the region.
He also praised the HRC's role in spreading awareness about human rights and following up on the issuance and implementation of regulations that preserve human rights and promote justice and integrity.
Al-Tuwaijri praised the governor's support for the commission's branch in the region.
