ICESCO Concludes Regional Workshop on Enhancing Cybersecurity Skills


Cairo: The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) concluded a regional workshop on enhancing cybersecurity knowledge and skills. The workshop saw participation from experts and specialists across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Morocco, Iraq, Kuwait, and Somalia.



According to Qatar News Agency, the three-day workshop held in Cairo aimed to equip participants from ICESCO Member States with advanced skills in cyberspace risk management. It also addressed the impact of artificial intelligence and quantum computing technologies on cybersecurity.



At the conclusion of the workshop, organizers highlighted the significance of bridging the skills gap and fostering a culture of continuous learning. This approach is essential to build competencies capable of tackling the increasing challenges in the digital space. Additionally, the need for regional cooperation to address security threats was emphasized.



The workshop featured practical training sessions and applied exercises covering a range of topics. These included malware detection, penetration testing, incident recovery, and securing digital infrastructure and cloud computing environments.
