Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Observes International Day of Combating Sand and Dust Storms

Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Nature Reserve Development Authority observed the International Day of Combating Sand and Dust Storms on July 12th, aiming to raise public awareness about the importance of mitigating these storms for public health, improving land use, and strengthening resilience to climate change.

Saudi Arabia has recently witnessed a significant decrease in dust storms thanks to its commitment to environmental issues through Saudi Vision 2030 programs.

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) commended the efforts of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Sand and Dust Storm Warning Regional Center, in building capacity and fostering regional cooperation to find sustainable solutions.
