Doha: Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun met Tuesday with a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), headed by Ernesto Ramirez Rigo. A statement from the Lebanese Presidency stated that the delegation affirmed the IMF’s support for Lebanon’s financial and economic reform process.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting underscored the importance of implementing key reforms in Lebanon’s financial sector to stabilize the economy. The IMF delegation’s visit is seen as a critical step in reinforcing international support for Lebanon’s efforts to address its financial challenges. The discussions focused on measures to enhance transparency and accountability within Lebanon’s financial institutions.
