Iraq, Lebanon Leaders Talk Bilateral Ties, Regional Developments


Baghdad: Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid discussed Sunday with his Lebanese counterpart, General Joseph Aoun bilateral relations and the regional developments. The talks in Baghdad addressed the situation in the region, especially in Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria.



According to Qatar News Agency, the two sides stressed the need for further international efforts to ease tensions and resort to calm and constructive dialogue to achieve peace and stability regionally and internationally. They emphasized the importance of continuing to support the Palestinian people in achieving their legitimate rights and establishing their independent state, and supporting Syria’s unity and stability and preserving its sovereignty and security.
