Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani met, on Sunday, with Yemeni Foreign Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak who is visiting Iraq.
The meeting discussed relations between the two countries and ways to boosting cooperation, said a statement from Iraqi Prime Minister Media Office.
Al Sudani reiterated his country's firm position to support national dialogue in Yemen and everything that would restore peace and reconciliation among the people of one homeland.
Meanwhile, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met with his Yemeni counterpart and discussed enhancing bilateral relations, in addition to a range of issues of common concern.
In a press conference following the meeting, Iraqi Foreign Minister affirmed that Baghdad supports any political effort that stabilizes situations in Yemen, pointing out that dialogue in Yemen would improve economic situation there.
He added that Iraq stands ready to act and be part of the solution to the problems in the region and resolve situations in Yemen, outlining that his country looks forward to sending a delegation to Yemen to follow up on the Iraqi community situations there.
For his part, Yemeni Foreign Minister said his visit to Baghdad was a prelude to promote bilateral relations.
