Iraq’s Air Defenses Shoot Down Two Drones Targeting Erbil Airport

Islamabad: Iraqi air defenses intercepted and shot down two drones on Monday that were attempting to strike Erbil International Airport in Kurdistan Region, with no casualties or damage reported. A security source said the drones were detected over Erbil and neutralized before reaching the airport. The interception successfully prevented any harm to people or property.

According to Qatar News Agency, the source added that the incident occurred alongside interception of another drone attack targeting the US consulate in the city.
