Nablus: Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 40 Palestinians in the West Bank on Tuesday, including brothers and former prisoners.
According to Qatar News Agency, the arrests were part of a concentrated campaign primarily in the Nablus governorate, accounting for about 25 of the detainees. The remaining arrests occurred in the governorates of Hebron, Tulkarm, Salfit, Tubas, and occupied Jerusalem.
A joint statement from the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club and Palestine’s Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs revealed that the arrest operations were marked by widespread raids, abuse, attacks, and threats against citizens and their families. The statement also noted the vandalism and destruction of homes during these operations.
Israeli operations against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have intensified recently, with an increase in raids, arrests, and shootings in numerous Palestinian areas.
