Israeli Forces Make Incursion into Northern Quneitra in Southern Syria

Quneitra: The Israeli occupation forces have once again made an incursion into the northern countryside of Quneitra province in southern Syria.

According to Qatar News Agency, a contingent consisting of two military vehicles and several soldiers entered the town of Jabatha Al Khashab. They conducted a raid and house search before retreating to a military position located in the Jabatha Al Khashab nature reserve. There have been no reports of any arrests following this operation.

Previously, the Israeli forces had made similar advances into the town, establishing a temporary checkpoint at its eastern entrance. These actions are part of a series of operations by the occupying forces, which continue to contravene the 1974 Disengagement Agreement. The agreement aimed to separate Israeli and Syrian forces, yet violations persist with infiltrations into southern Syria, involving raids, arrests, and land bulldozing.

Syria has consistently demanded the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, insisting that all actions undertaken by the occupation in southern Syria are void and bear no legal significance under international law.
