Israeli Occupation Continues Aggression on Tulkarm City, Camp for 80th Day

Tulkarm: The Israeli aggression against the city of Tulkarm and its refugee camp has now entered its 80th day, while the assault on the Nur Shams refugee camp reaches its 67th day, amid ongoing military escalation, raids, and arrests.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Israeli assault has resulted in the martyrdom of 13 Palestinians, including a child and two women. Dozens were also wounded and arrested.

In the early hours of Wednesday, Tulkarm city, its camps, and surrounding areas witnessed a heavy deployment of Israeli military vehicles and infantry units, accompanied by raids and searches in several neighborhoods, with intense gunfire and sound bombs reported.

Qatar News Agency, citing local sources, reported that after midnight, infantry units were deployed in the Iktaba suburb, opposite the Nur Shams camp, where large-scale combing operations took place. A loud explosion and heavy gunfire were heard during the operation.

Late last night, Israeli occupation forces also raided the Qaisi and Huda gas station in the Salam neighborhood east of the city. Several Palestinian youths present at the station were detained, searched, and had their IDs checked, with reports of mistreatment, though no official arrests were reported.

The military presence extended to the Dhinnaba suburb and the road connecting it to the town of Kafr al-Labad to the east, where sound bombs were fired. One young man was arrested, subjected to field interrogation, and later released in the early hours of the morning.

In recent days, Israeli forces have intensified forced displacement campaigns targeting residents of the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, Nablus Street, and the area surrounding the traffic department in the city’s northern district. These operations have resulted in the forced displacement of over 4,000 families after they were threatened, terrorized into leaving their homes, and given short deadlines to collect their belongings before the properties were converted into military outposts.

The ongoing aggression has caused widespread destruction to infrastructure, homes, commercial properties, and vehicles. In the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps alone, 396 homes have been completely destroyed and 2,573 partially damaged.
