Doha: Israeli occupation forces carried out excavation work Wednesday in the village of Al Hamidiyah in the Quneitra countryside, southern Syria, at one of the sites where they have been stationed for six months.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that an occupation force advanced toward the village, accompanied by heavy engineering equipment consisting of two excavation machines, a bulldozer, and a transport truck, and carried out excavations inside the site.
Local sources indicated that since the start of its aggression on Quneitra last June, the Israeli occupation forces have bulldozed approximately 1,860 dunams of land in the town of Kudneh, and 50 dunams of land along the road linking the city of AlSalam to Quneitra.
The Israeli occupation army continues its attacks on Syrian territories in violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, the rules of international law, and UN resolutions.
Syria condemns the attacks, calling on the international community to take a firm stance to stop them.
