Beirut: The Israeli entity carried out an airstrike targeting the Aita Al-Shaab area in southern Lebanon, injuring several persons. The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA Lebanon) reported that an Israeli drone carried out an airstrike today, targeting a car in the town of Aita Al-Shaab in southern Lebanon with a guided missile.
According to Qatar News Agency, the airstrike comes in the wake of the ceasefire agreement that went into effect on November 27. This agreement called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from border villages and towns in southern Lebanon within sixty days. Despite the Beirut government’s decision to extend the deadline to February 18, Israeli forces have continued to maintain their positions in five locations.
