Doha:Southern Lebanon: Israeli attacks persisted overnight with airstrikes targeting Nabatieh Al-Fawqa, the outskirts of Kfar Tebnit, and the town of Mayfadoun, resulting in the complete destruction of a house.
According to Qatar News Agency, concentrated artillery shelling was reported in Kfar Rumman by Lebanon's National News Agency. The attacks also affected Wadi Zebqin, the outskirts of Mazraat Al Shoumerieh, and the town of Al Qusayr.
In addition to the airstrikes, heavy machine gunfire was directed at the towns of Beit Yahoun and Sebrine, as well as Wadi Zebqin. An Israeli Merkava tank fired four rounds into the town of Hadatha before Israeli forces advanced toward the town center, setting fire to the area.
Despite a US-mediated framework agreement signed last June between Lebanon and Israel, which outlined security arrangements, the deployment of the Lebanese army, withdrawal of Israeli forces, and measures for reconstruction and economic recovery, the implementation of these provisions continues to encounter obstacles.
