During the month of June, the Jeddah Municipality carried out more than 12,000 inspection tours on commercial and health facilities within 11 sub-municipalities. Jeddah Municipality Official Spokesman Mohamed bin Obaid Al-Buqami stressed that the city will continue intensifying its inspection efforts with the aims of raising the compliance rate of commercial and health facilities, maintaining food security and safety, and improving the quality of services provided to citizens and visitors. He indicated that during the past month, 10,632 health facilities and 1,503 commercial facilities were visited, and 116 facilities were closed due to violations. Al-Buqami added that the monitoring tours resulted in the registration of 18,346 violations, which included failure to obtain or renew health certificates, violations of health requirements, and poor preservation and storage.
