Joint Qatar-Saudi Arabia Committee on Combatting Drug Trafficking Holds First Meeting

Doha: The first meeting of the joint Qatari-Saudi committee tasked with activating the bilateral agreement on combating illicit drug trafficking took place today in Doha. This meeting is part of the efforts to follow up on the outcomes of last year's meeting regarding the implementation of the crime prevention agreement between the two countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari delegation was headed by Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Khater, Director of Anti-Narcotics Operations Department at the General Directorate of Drug Enforcement. The Saudi delegation was led by Director of International Cooperation at the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, Col. Mansoor bin Saleh Al Ghamdi.

The meeting addressed several items on its agenda and adopted relevant recommendations aimed at enhancing cooperation in combating drug trafficking between Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
