Doha: Jordan's King Abdullah II met with Japanese Defense Minister Gen Nakatani, who is visiting Jordan, to explore ways to enhance military and defense cooperation between the two nations.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions between King Abdullah and Minister Nakatani also covered the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, the escalating tensions in the West Bank, and the broader developments in Syria and Lebanon. King Abdullah highlighted the necessity of intensifying efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid throughout the region, acknowledging Japan's contributions to humanitarian relief efforts.
Meanwhile, Japanese Defense Minister Nakatani commended Jordan's initiatives and ongoing efforts in fostering peace and stability across the Middle East.
