Jordan King, Norway FM Talk Bilateral Ties, Regional Developments

Amman: HM King Abdullah II of Jordan on Monday discussed with Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation across various fields. The discussions focused on enhancing partnerships between the two nations, aiming to foster mutual growth and understanding.

According to Qatar News Agency, the talks in Amman also addressed regional developments, particularly the war in the Gaza Strip, unilateral measures against Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem, as well as the latest developments in Syria. These discussions highlighted the ongoing challenges in the region and the need for collaborative approaches to address them.

King Abdullah emphasized the necessity of achieving a just and comprehensive peace for the Palestinian cause, advocating for the two-state solution. He called for intensified efforts to end the war in Gaza and urged the resumption of humanitarian aid delivery, underscoring the importance of addressing the humanitarian needs arising from the conflict.
