Doha: Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs welcomed statements made by US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, affirming that residents of Gaza should not be required to leave the Strip. Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah reiterated Jordan’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at achieving a just and acceptable peace, highlighting Jordan’s partnership with the United States in this endeavor.
According to Qatar News Agency, Qudah emphasized that a just and lasting peace can only be realized through the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967, lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with the two-state solution as the sole path to ensuring security, stability, and peace in the region.
