Jordanian King, US Official Discuss Ways to Enhance Partnership

Amman: King Abdullah II of Jordan discussed, in a phone call Monday, with Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the US House of Representatives Brian Mast, ways to enhance the strategic partnership between the two countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Jordanian monarch warned, during the call, of the danger of escalation in the West Bank, pointing to the pivotal role of the United States in supporting efforts to achieve peace based on the two-state solution.

He also stressed the need to rebuild Gaza without displacing its residents, sustain the ceasefire, and double the flow of relief aid.
