Jordan’s Inflation Rate Rises by 1.77 Percent in 2025

Amman: Jordan's inflation rate recorded an increase of 1.77 percent in 2025 compared to the previous year.

According to Qatar News Agency, a monthly report released on Sunday by Jordan's Department of Statistics showed that the country's inflation rate rose by 1.77 percent in 2025. The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for 2025 increased to 112.67 points, up from 110.71 points in 2024.

The rise in inflation reflects higher prices across several commodity groups. Personal effects saw the most significant increase, with prices rising by 22.71 percent. Other notable increases were observed in tea, dairy, and cocoa products, which went up by 10.35 percent, and tobacco and cigarettes, which experienced a rise of 10.17 percent.
