Jordan’s King Abdullah II Reaffirms Opposition to Annexation and Displacement Efforts


Doha: Jordan’s King Abdullah II reiterated his country’s rejection of any attempts to annex territories and displace Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. He emphasized the need for maintaining a ceasefire in Gaza and enhancing the international humanitarian response to the ongoing situation.



According to Qatar News Agency, King Abdullah II made these remarks during a meeting with a US Congress delegation led by Senator Richard Blumenthal. He highlighted the importance of achieving just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution to ensure the region’s security and stability.



King Abdullah II also noted the pivotal role of the US in supporting peace efforts. He emphasized the strategic partnership between Jordan and the US and expressed a desire to strengthen this relationship across various fields.
