Jordan’s King Calls for Enhanced Global Pressure to Halt Gaza Tragedy


Amman: King Abdullah II of Jordan stressed on Sunday the importance of enduring coordination among friendly and active nations to form international pressure to cease the tragedy unfolding in the Gaza Strip.



According to Qatar News Agency, Jordan’s King was speaking during his meeting with a delegation of the Ministerial Committee Assigned by the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit on Developments in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized the importance of ramping up Arab efforts to halt the war on the enclave and ensure the flow of aid to all regions across the Strip.



King Abdullah warned of the dangerous and unprecedented escalation targeting the Palestinians in the West Bank, as well as the Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem.



The meeting further discussed the importance of constantly galvanizing international support to help the Palestinian people regain their legitimate rights and work to find a political prospect that achieves peace based on the two-state solution.
