KAICIID to Hold Annual Steering Committee Meeting of Interreligious Dialogue in Tunisia

The King Abdullah International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) will convene the annual meeting of the Steering Committee of the Interreligious Platform for Dialogue and Cooperation tomorrow in Tunisia, bringing together religious leaders, peacebuilding actors, and representatives of organizations promoting religious values from Tunisia, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt.

KAICIID announced in a press statement that the meeting will focus on discussing the 2024-2025 strategic action plan for the Arab region, which aims to strengthen dialogue and cooperation among followers of different religions and to support peace and coexistence efforts, particularly in regions affected by ongoing crises. Religious leaders will work together to mitigate the challenges caused by these crises and foster a culture of peace.

A side event is planned to highlight dialogue projects supported by KAICIID and implemented by local partners since 2020. This will serve as an opportunity to assess t
he impact of these initiatives and explore future avenues of cooperation. The meeting reinforces KAICIID

s commitment to advancing interfaith and intercultural dialogue, promoting peaceful coexistence, and supporting initiatives that build cohesive societies grounded in tolerance and peace.

The gathering is also seen as an important platform for fostering communication between regional partners and aligning their efforts toward a more stable and cooperative future for the region.
