King of Jordan Meets China Premier to Enhance Bilateral Relations

Doha: King Abdullah II of Jordan, currently visiting China, met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations in several fields.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting addressed opportunities to expand economic and investment cooperation and leverage available resources to strengthen the partnership.

The Jordanian monarch reiterated his country's interest in expanding cooperation with China in the tourism, agriculture, pharmaceutical, food, and engineering sectors, among others, to diversify areas of cooperation and bolster the economic partnership between the two nations.

For his part, the Chinese Premier affirmed Beijing's commitment to further consolidating and strengthening bilateral relations, stressing the importance of the visit in broadening the scope of ties between the two countries.
