The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), represented by Director of Community Support Dr. Jawaher bint Abdullah Al-Muhanna, participated in a session titled "From Vision to Impact: Compatibility for Sustainable Impact in Amplifying Social-Environmental Change" as part of the Kingdom's delegation at the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) in New York from July 8-18, 2024. Dr. Al-Muhanna spoke about KSrelief's efforts to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and its contribution to sustainable development goals. She noted that the center provided $77 billion in aid through 335 projects to alleviate poverty, $2.1 billion to eliminate hunger through 792 projects, $1.2 billion for good health and well-being, and $162 million for quality education. Additionally, she mentioned that $18 million was provided to address the effects of natural disasters related to the "Life Below Water" goal, and $5.7 billion was allocated to 92 low- and middle-income countries to establi sh partnerships with international organizations and civil society institutions. In closing, Dr. Al-Muhanna called for a comprehensive approach to achieve sustainable development goals and transform needy communities into self-reliant communities. The annual High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) at the UN Headquarters reviews countries' efforts to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This year's forum was titled "Reinforcing the 2030 Agenda and Eradicating Poverty in Times of Multiple Crises: The Effective Delivery of Sustainable, Resilient, and Innovative Solutions."
