Kuwait Applauds Qatar’s Role in Congo Peace Agreement

Doha: The State of Kuwait commended mediation efforts made by the State of Qatar in the signing of the Declaration of Principles between the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Congo River Alliance/March 23 Movement, in Doha on Saturday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Declaration of Principles, expressing hope that the declaration would contribute to enhancing peace, security, and stability in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The Ministry reiterated Kuwait's commitment to dialogue and diplomatic solutions for resolving disputes.

Today, the State of Qatar hosted in Doha the signing ceremony of the Declaration of Principles between the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Congo River Alliance/March 23 Movement. This event is seen as a significant development in the effort to achieve peace and stability in the eastern region of the Congo.

The signing of the declaration is the result of diplomatic efforts made by the State of Qatar over the past months. During this period, Qatar worked to create an environment conducive to constructive dialogue between both parties, aiming to reach a peaceful solution to the ongoing conflict in the region.
