Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower With Mixed Index Performance

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday as the All Share Index lost 7.53 points to reach 8,894.37 points, a decrease of 0.08 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 327.7 million shares valued at KWD 88.7 million (roughly USD 287.2 million) were traded via 25,745 transactions. The Main Market Index showed an increase of 43.34 points to reach 9,144.67 points, marking a rise of 0.48 percent. This was achieved through 181.2 million shares traded in 13,967 transactions, with a value of KWD 37.6 million (approximately USD 121.7 million).

The Premier Market Index experienced a decline, losing 18.74 points to settle at 9,302.73 points, registering a decrease of 0.20 percent. The index saw the same volume of 181.2 million shares traded through 13,967 transactions, with the trading value remaining consistent at KWD 37.6 million (around USD 121.7 million).

Meanwhile, the Bourse Main 50 Index recorded a gain of 92.41 points, reaching 10,866.20 points, which represented an increase of 0.86 percent. This was accompanied by a stock volume of 120.6 million shares exchanged in 8,830 deals, valued at KWD 27.4 million (roughly USD 88.7 million).
