Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower with Mixed Performance Across Indices


Kuwait City: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday as the All Share Index lost 11.74 points to reach 7,784.67 points, a decrease of 0.15 percent.



According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 447.6 million shares valued at KWD 108.4 million (roughly USD 333.8 million) were traded via 19,258 transactions. The performance across different market indices showed varied results.



The Main Market Index experienced an increase, going up by 17.35 points to reach 7,256.65 points, an increase of 0.24 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 234.6 million shares in 8,368 transactions, valued at KWD 32.6 million (roughly USD 100.4 million).



Conversely, the Premier Market Index declined, going down by 20.01 points to reach 8,300.60 points, a decrease of 0.24 percent. The trading volume for this index included 212.9 million shares conducted through 10,890 transactions, with a total value of KWD 75.8 million (roughly USD 233.4 million).



Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index recorded a gain of 14.30 points, reaching 7,267.66 points, marking an increase of 0.20 percent. This was facilitated through a stock volume of 193.3 million shares executed in 5,504 deals, with a total value of KWD 27 million (roughly USD 83.16 million).
