Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower With Mixed Sector Performances

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Tuesday as the All Share Index lost 16.25 points to reach 8,945.99 points, a decrease of 0.18 percent. As many as 495.8 million shares valued at KWD 130.4 million (roughly USD 425.5 million) were traded via 31,914 transactions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index experienced a slight increase, going up by 6.60 points to reach 9,483.23 points, marking a rise of 0.07 percent. This was achieved through 346.7 million shares conducted via 22,843 transactions, valued at KWD 75.1 million (roughly USD 245 million).

The Premier Market Index, however, saw a decline, losing 21.95 points to settle at 9,295.95 points, down by 0.24 percent. This involved 149.1 million shares executed through 9,071 transactions, with a total value of KWD 55.3 million (roughly USD 180.4 million).

Meanwhile, the Bourse Main 50 Index showed gains, climbing 65.39 points to reach 11,413.64 points, an increase of 0.58 percent. This was achieved through a stock volume of 244.9 million shares, completed in 15,011 deals at a value of KWD 55 million (roughly USD 179.4 million).
