Kuwait Bourse Ends Week with Decline


Kuwait City: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday as the All Share Index lost 6.81 points to reach 8,112.49 points, a decrease of 0.08 percent. As many as 385.2 million shares valued at KWD 127.2 million (roughly USD 390.5 million) were traded via 20,603 transactions.



According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index experienced a slight increase, gaining 0.69 points to reach 6,967.01 points, an increase of 0.01 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 169.5 million shares via 8,670 transactions valued at KWD 23.4 million (roughly USD 71.8 million).



The Premier Market Index saw a decline, losing 9.01 points to reach 8,799.09 points, down by 0.10 percent. This was based on the trading of 215.6 million shares through 11,933 transactions valued at KWD 103.8 million (roughly USD 318.6 million).



Meanwhile, the bourse Main 50 Index fell by 44.01 points to reach 7,207.34 points, a decrease of 0.61 percent. This occurred through a stock volume of 135.3 million shares done in 6,263 deals at a value of KWD 18 million (roughly USD 55.2 million).
