Kuwait Bourse Sees Mixed Performance Across Indices

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday with the All Share Index recording a gain of 7.64 points, achieving a total of 8,873.26 points, marking an increase of 0.09 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 233.8 million shares were exchanged, amounting to a value of KWD 60.7 million, which is approximately USD 197.21 million, across 15,323 transactions. The Main Market Index experienced a decline, dropping by 6.99 points to settle at 8,996.96 points, reflecting a decrease of 0.08 percent. This was facilitated by the trading of 142.2 million shares through 9,513 transactions, totaling a value of KWD 26.3 million, or roughly USD 85.45 million.

In contrast, the Premier Market Index showed an increase, gaining 11.15 points to reach 9,307.48 points, up by 0.12 percent. This movement involved 91.5 million shares traded via 5,810 transactions, with a value of KWD 34.4 million, equivalent to about USD 111.76 million. The Bourse Main 50 Index also saw a rise, gaining 54.67 points to achieve 10,394.33 points, up by 0.53 percent. This was on the back of an 85.8 million share volume conducted in 5,923 deals, valued at KWD 16.8 million, or approximately USD 54.58 million.
