Kuwait Bourse Sees Mixed Performance Across Indices

Doha: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday with the All Share Index losing 11.14 points, landing at 8,865.62 points, marking a decrease of 0.13 percent. According to Qatar News Agency, trading saw 241.7 million shares exchanged hands, valued at KWD 68.3 million, which is approximately USD 222.8 million, across 17,708 transactions. The Main Market Index showed an increase, gaining 44.44 points to reach 9,003.95 points, reflecting a rise of 0.50 percent. This was achieved through 128.1 million shares transacted via 9,029 transactions, with a total value of KWD 23.8 million, or roughly USD 77.6 million. In contrast, the Premier Market Index experienced a decline, losing 23.56 points to settle at 9,296.33 points, a decrease of 0.25 percent. This happened through 113.5 million shares exchanged in 8,679 transactions, valued at KWD 44.4 million or approximately USD 144.8 million. Meanwhile, the Bourse Main 50 Index recorded a gain of 23.98 points, reaching 10,339.66 points, up by 0.23 percent. This was achie ved through a stock volume of 79.3 million shares, executed in 5,487 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 15.6 million, or roughly USD 50.2 million.
