Kuwait Bourse Sees Mixed Performance as Indices Fluctuate


Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday with the All Share Index losing 8.54 points, settling at 8,773.35 points, marking a decrease of 0.10 percent. A total of 846.16 million shares, valued at KWD 137.6 million (approximately USD 418.3 million), were traded across 35,366 transactions.



According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index experienced a rise, gaining 104.06 points to reach 8,336.43 points, which is an increase of 1.26 percent. This increase was achieved through the trading of 714.18 million shares across 26,891 transactions, amounting to KWD 91.4 million (around USD 277.8 million).



In contrast, the Premier Market Index fell by 37.05 points to 9,315.82 points, a decline of 0.40 percent. This movement involved 131.9 million shares traded over 8,475 transactions, representing a value of KWD 46.2 million (approximately USD 140.4 million).



Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index saw a gain of 61.69 points, reaching 8,604.80 points, up by 0.72 percent. This was achieved with a stock volume of 476.6 million shares traded through 17,489 deals, amounting to KWD 70.18 million (roughly USD 213.3 million).
