Kuwait Bourse Sees Modest Gains Amid Mixed Performance


Kuwait City: The Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Monday with the All Share Index gaining 8.84 points to reach 8,064.76 points, marking an increase of 0.11 percent.



According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 358.7 million shares valued at KWD 90.2 million (approximately USD 276 million) were traded through 19,183 transactions. The Main Market Index experienced an increase of 19.53 points, reaching 6,997.65 points, representing a growth of 0.28 percent. This was achieved through 217.17 million shares traded via 10,132 transactions, valued at KWD 35 million (around USD 107.1 million).



The Premier Market Index also saw gains, adding 6.62 points to reach 8,729.52, which is an uptick of 0.08 percent. This rise was facilitated by 141.6 million shares traded through 9,129 transactions, with a total value of KWD 55.17 million (roughly USD 168.8 million).



Conversely, the Main 50 Index fell by 62.47 points to 7,241.35 points, a decrease of 0.87 percent. This decline occurred amidst a stock volume of 157.7 million shares exchanged in 7,658 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 29.4 million (approximately USD 89.9 million).
