Kuwait Bourse Shows Mixed Performance with All Share Index Gaining


Kuwait City: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Monday with the All Share Index gaining 8.03 points to reach 7,974.57 points, marking an increase of 0.10 percent. This reflects a positive movement in the overall market performance.



According to Qatar News Agency, trading saw a total of 332.4 million shares exchanged, valued at KWD 79.6 million, approximately USD 243.5 million, over 18,627 transactions. Despite the gain in the All Share Index, the Main Market Index saw a decline.



The Main Market Index decreased by 21.83 points to 7,001.19 points, representing a decrease of 0.31 percent. This was through 185.9 million shares traded via 10,126 transactions, valued at KWD 27.5 million, roughly USD 84.15 million.



In contrast, the Premier Market Index recorded a gain of 15.89 points to reach 8,611.46, up by 0.18 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 146.4 million shares across 8,501 transactions, valued at KWD 52 million, approximately USD 159.12 million.



Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index experienced a decrease of 11.64 points to reach 7,062.33 points, a drop of 0.16 percent. This involved a stock volume of 154.7 million shares conducted in 7,722 deals, with a value of KWD 23.8 million, roughly USD 72.8 million.
