Kuwait Condemns Iranian Targeting of Saudi SIDR Tanker

Kuwait city: Kuwait voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian attack that targeted the Saudi tanker SIDR while it was crossing the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in the deaths of the tanker's crew. This act is considered a violation of international law and Security Council Resolution No. 2817, posing a threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation and global energy supplies.

According to Qatar News Agency, Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the necessity for an immediate cessation of all escalatory actions and urged adherence to international law rules that guarantee freedom of navigation. The ministry affirmed its rejection of any attack on the security and safety of maritime navigation.

The ministry also reiterated Kuwait's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, expressing its support for any measures Saudi Arabia may take to preserve its sovereignty and protect its security and interests.
