Doha: The State of Kuwait has strongly condemned the statements made by two ministers in the Israeli government regarding the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement emphasizing that these remarks are a blatant infringement on the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and a clear violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
The Ministry reiterated Kuwait's categorical rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people, urging the international community and the Security Council to act against any efforts to impose a new demographic or geographic reality in the occupied Palestinian territory.
The Ministry highlighted that such proposals undermine international efforts aimed at achieving peace, including US President Donald Trump's comprehensive plan to resolve the conflict in Gaza, which firmly rejects forced displacement. It warned of the serious repercussions these statements could have on the prospects for achieving security and stability in the region.
Furthermore, the Ministry asserted that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory and stressed the importance of maintaining the unity of Palestinian land in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
The statement concluded with a reaffirmation of Kuwait's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state within the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
