Kuwait city: HE Minister of Social, Family and Childhood Affairs of Kuwait, Dr. Amthal Al Huwailah, emphasized the pivotal role of women as catalysts for positive change and the advancement of an inclusive and equitable future. She asserted that investing in women is not merely a pledge towards equality but a strategic investment in sustainable solutions that benefit entire societies.
According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Al Huwailah shared these insights during her address at the "SheBuilds: Women Innovating Social Solutions for an Inclusive Future" event. This high-level side event was part of the 2nd World Summit for Social Development. The gathering was attended by notable figures including HE Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, and UNESCO Representative to the Gulf States and Yemen, Salah El Din Zaki Khaled.
In her speech, Dr. Al Huwailah highlighted the celebration of women's creativity in driving social development and their capacity to craft solutions that significantly impact communities. She emphasized that social innovation led by women is intrinsically inclusive, deeply understanding marginalized groups' needs and committed to dismantling obstacles to participation in societal development.
Dr. Al Huwailah further noted that women are not merely ideators but are redefining development and justice from a human-centric view. The event featured a presentation showcasing real-life stories of Kuwaiti women innovatively addressing social challenges.
The minister added that participants would engage in an interactive session designed to inspire and nurture an innovative mindset, ultimately transforming ideas into actionable solutions for social challenges.
