Doha: HE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali bin Saeed bin Smaikh Al Marri convened with several international ministers and officials on Tuesday during the Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha. The meetings were held separately with HE Minister of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity of Romania Petre Florin Manole, HE Minister of Social Affairs and Health of Finland Sanni Grahn-Laasonen, HE Minister of Social Affairs and Employment of the Netherlands Marielle Paul, and HE Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of Germany Berbel Bas. The discussions centered on exploring cooperation opportunities between Qatar and these countries, particularly in advancing and developing the labor sector.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE Dr. Al Marri also held individual meetings with HE Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Gilbert Houngbo and Director-General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Amy Pope. These discussions were aimed at fortifying and progressing joint cooperation between Qatar and the two international organizations.
